Privacy Policy
The short version: Minimalist does not collect, store or share any personal data on our servers. We don’t have servers for the app at all. Everything you record stays on your iPhone.
Who we are
Minimalist: Walk & Run Tracker (“Minimalist”, “the app”) is developed by ISTACK DEVELOPMENT SRL, Romania (“we”, “us”). If you have any questions about this policy, write to us at madalin@istack.ro.
Location data
Minimalist asks for access to your location so it can measure distance and draw your route. Location is only used:
- while an activity (a walk or run) is in progress, including in the background if you lock your screen, until you finish or discard it;
- to show your current position on the map while you’re recording.
Your routes, distances, durations and dates are saved in the app’s private storage on your device. They are never uploaded to us or to any third party.
Maps
Maps are displayed using Apple Maps (MapKit). To show map tiles, your device requests them from Apple. Apple processes these requests under the Apple Privacy Policy. We do not receive this information.
What we don’t do
- No accounts or sign-up.
- No analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs.
- No selling or sharing of data — there is no data for us to share.
Settings
Your preferences (monthly goal, kilometers or miles) are stored on your device only.
Backups
If you use iCloud Backup or back up your iPhone to a computer, the app’s data may be included in that backup, which is handled by Apple or by you according to your device settings.
Deleting your data
You can delete individual activities from the History screen. Deleting the app removes all of its data from your device.
Your rights
Because we don’t collect or process personal data, we hold no data about you that could be accessed, corrected or deleted. If you are in the European Union, you still have the right to contact us or lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority — in Romania, the ANSPDCP.
Children
Minimalist does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the effective date above.
